Nothing Much

Well, nothing has really changed for us lately. My students are getting ready to take the state tests next week. Many of them are very nervous and are acting out because of it. These tests are a huge deal in Louisiana; if you don't pass them, you cannot go on to the next grade. No pressure!

Kenny is still doing what he does in the Coast Guard. Not much to report on that front either. He will be going to a school for 15 days, leaving sometime this month. He is supposed to be back by the 21st, which is the first day of my week-long spring break! Yay!

On a side note, my cousin, Michael, and his fiancee, Lisa, have broken up and the wedding (was to be July 6th) is cancelled. Not really sure what all happened. It's hard when you live far away. So, now I have a bridesmaid's dress that I will have to try and find some use for, not to mention all the wedding flowers that I had already made (all the bouquets and some corsages). If you know anyone that needs some flowers for something (they are Periwinkle hydrangeas and yellow sunflowers) lemme know.

Vera and Preston are doing well, meowing up a storm!

We are planning on visiting home sometime in late June/early July. If Kenny's schedule does not allow it, I will be coming alone. We'll keep everyone posted as we find out more information.
